The road from Vlorë to the Albanian Riviera climbs to the Llogara Pass, over 1,000 metres up in the Ceraunian Mountains, before dropping in spectacular switchbacks towards the turquoise coast far below.

The pass sits inside Llogara National Park, a cool world of black pines and mountain air — a striking contrast to the beaches a few minutes' drive downhill. It is a favourite spot for paragliding and a classic photo stop on any Riviera road trip.
Good to know: drive it by day for the views, take the bends slowly, and stop at one of the roadside restaurants for grilled lamb.
